Where to Store Luggage in Seoul: Subway Lockers, T-Luggage, and Hotel Delivery

Published: Sep 3, 2026 · Updated: Oct 2, 2026

If you arrive in Seoul before hotel check-in or have several hours after checkout, you do not need to carry your suitcase all day. Depending on the size of your bag and where you are going next, you can use a subway locker, a staffed T-Luggage counter, a same-day delivery service, or your hotel’s luggage room.

Prices and operating hours can change, so check the official booking page on the day you use the service.

1. Seoul Subway Lockers: T-Locker Locations, Hours, and Rates

Seoul Metro operates T-Locker storage at hundreds of locations across Lines 1–9. Not every station entrance has a locker, so check the station map or the T-Locker app before making a special trip. For help navigating stations, see our Seoul Subway Guide.

Current base rates for the first four hours:

  • Small: ₩2,200 on weekdays or ₩3,100 on weekends, plus ₩500 per additional hour.
  • Medium: ₩3,300 on weekdays or ₩4,600 on weekends, plus ₩800 per additional hour.
  • Large: ₩4,400 on weekdays or ₩6,100 on weekends, plus ₩1,000 per additional hour.

T-Locker storage and retrieval are generally available from 5:00 a.m. to midnight. You cannot retrieve a bag while the station storage area is closed.

New and older locker units use different payment and access steps. Follow the instructions shown on the individual locker rather than assuming that every unit accepts the same card or mobile payment method. The T-Locker app can show locations and availability, but the official app is currently Korean-language only.

If the Locker Is Full or Payment Fails

If the locker bank is full, use the official Seoul storage page to check another locker bank or nearby station instead of waiting at the same entrance; the T-Locker app is currently Korean-language only. The largest listed T-Locker compartment is 50 × 90 × 60 cm. Take a bag that will not fit—or an awkward item such as a stroller—to a staffed T-Luggage counter, which lists storage sizes through XL.

If the app language or payment step blocks you, first check whether a reservation code or confirmation was created before trying again. The official T-Luggage FAQ says reservations are paid by credit card and payment can also be completed on site. If an on-site card also fails, confirm that no reservation was created before trying another card; otherwise ask your hotel whether it can hold the bag. If a locker already contains your property but will not open, use the current support numbers on the official Seoul page; it lists Korean-language support from 6:00 a.m. to midnight and says on-site assistance may involve a service fee.

2. Staffed T-Luggage Counters for Large Bags

A staffed counter is a better choice for a stroller, sports bag, extra-large suitcase, or anything that does not fit comfortably in a subway locker.

Current T-Luggage counters are located at Seoul Station, Hongik University Station, Myeongdong Station, Jamsil Station, Gimpo International Airport Station, and Jongno 3-ga Station. They are generally open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., including weekends. Confirm the exact counter location before you travel because stations may have several levels and exits.

Storage rates are based on bag size and a four-hour starting period. Weekend rates are higher, and additional hourly charges apply after the base period.

3. Same-Day Luggage Delivery to Incheon Airport

T-Luggage offers same-day delivery between selected Seoul subway counters and Incheon Airport. This can be useful on your departure day if you want to continue sightseeing without returning to your hotel.

  • Booking: Check the terminal, counter, cutoff time, and collection point on the official T-Luggage delivery page before paying.

Some private couriers also collect bags from participating hotels. Hotel coverage, cutoff times, and airport counters vary by provider. Do not leave a bag at reception unless you have a confirmed reservation, baggage label, and collection instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send luggage from Incheon Airport to Seoul?

T-Luggage offers airport-to-city routes as well as city-to-airport delivery on selected routes. Availability depends on the terminal, destination counter, and same-day cutoff. Check the direction shown on the booking page before paying.

Can I leave a bag in a subway locker overnight?

Yes, but you cannot retrieve it while the locker area is closed, and hourly overtime charges continue to apply. Seoul Metro states that expired storage may be held for up to one month before disposal or donation if no extension is requested. Contact T-Locker support promptly if you cannot retrieve your bag.

Will my hotel hold luggage for free?

Many hotels will hold bags for registered guests before check-in or after checkout, but it is not a universal rule. Ask the property in advance, especially if you need overnight storage or plan to collect the bag on a later date.

If you are still choosing a hotel base, compare Hongdae, Myeongdong, Gangnam, and Jongno in our where to stay in Seoul guide.
